According to The Washington Post, former President Donald Trump was forced to leave the NATO summit in Turkey in early July on a secret military flight due to an assassination threat from Iran. The White House officially stated that Trump used the presidential aircraft Air Force One. However, the report reveals a covert operation: Trump arrived in Ankara on a new Air Force One gifted by Qatar. Before departing, he announced he would use the older Air Force One to fly to RAF Mildenhall in the UK, boarding it under television cameras. Minutes later, he was secretly transported by service vehicle to a U.S. Air Force C-32A aircraft. The older Air Force One took off shortly after the C-32A, serving as a decoy. The Post did not specify how Trump was transferred back to Air Force One before disembarking at the military base. A similar decoy operation was conducted in 2000 when President Bill Clinton used an unmarked aircraft for a flight to Pakistan, with the official Air Force One used as a decoy.
