Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that his country did not agree with a plan to disarm Hamas as part of normalizing the situation in the Gaza Strip, according to The Times of Israel. In a video address, Netanyahu said, "President Trump thinks, or his team thinks, that they can force Hamas to disarm and demilitarize Gaza. We are studying this issue. They sent us a draft. We did not agree with it. It was not our project." He also emphasized that Israel will not withdraw its troops from current lines in Gaza until Hamas is fully disarmed.
